15:1 サムエルはサウルに言った。「主はわたしを遣わして、あなたに油を注ぎ、主の民イスラエルの王とされた。今、主が語られる御言葉を聞きなさい。 15:2 万軍の主はこう言われる。イスラエルがエジプトから上って来る道でアマレクが仕掛けて妨害した行為を、わたしは罰することにした。 15:3 行け。アマレクを討ち、アマレクに属するものは一切、滅ぼし尽くせ。男も女も、子供も乳飲み子も、牛も羊も、らくだもろばも打ち殺せ。容赦してはならない。」 15:4 サウルは兵士を召集した。テライムで兵士を数えると、歩兵が二十万、ユダの兵は一万であった。 15:5 サウルはアマレクの町まで来ると、兵を川岸にとどめた。 15:6 サウルはカイン人に言った。「あなたたちはアマレク人のもとを立ち退き、避難してください。イスラエルの人々がエジプトから上って来たとき、親切にしてくださったあなたたちを、アマレク人の巻き添えにしたくありません。」カイン人はアマレク人のもとを立ち退いた。 15:7 サウルはハビラからエジプト国境のシュルに至る地域でアマレク人を討った。 15:8 アマレクの王アガグを生け捕りにし、その民をことごとく剣にかけて滅ぼした。 15:9 しかしサウルと兵士は、アガグ、および羊と牛の最上のもの、初子ではない肥えた動物、小羊、その他何でも上等なものは惜しんで滅ぼし尽くさず、つまらない、値打ちのないものだけを滅ぼし尽くした。 15:10 主の言葉がサムエルに臨んだ。 15:11 「わたしはサウルを王に立てたことを悔やむ。彼はわたしに背を向け、わたしの命令を果たさない。」サムエルは深く心を痛め、夜通し主に向かって叫んだ。 15:12 朝早く、サムエルが起きて、サウルに会おうとすると、「サウルはカルメルに行って自分のために戦勝碑を建て、そこからギルガルに向かって下った」との知らせが届いた。 15:13 サムエルがサウルのもとに行くと、サウルは彼に言った。「主の御祝福があなたにありますように。わたしは主の御命令を果たしました。」 15:14 サムエルは言った。「それなら、わたしの耳に入るこの羊の声、わたしの聞くこの牛の声は何なのか。」 15:15 サウルは答えた。「兵士がアマレク人のもとから引いて来たのです。彼らはあなたの神、主への供え物にしようと、羊と牛の最上のものを取って置いたのです。ほかのものは滅ぼし尽くしました。」 15:16 サムエルはサウルに言った。「やめなさい。あなたに言わねばならないことがある。昨夜、主がわたしに語られたことだ。」サウルは言った。「お話しください。」 15:17 サムエルは言った。「あなたは、自分自身の目には取るに足らぬ者と映っているかもしれない。しかしあなたはイスラエルの諸部族の頭ではないか。主は油を注いで、あなたをイスラエルの上に王とされたのだ。 15:18 主はあなたに出陣を命じ、行って、罪を犯したアマレクを滅ぼし尽くせ、彼らを皆殺しにするまで戦い抜け、と言われた。 15:19 何故あなたは、主の御声に聞き従わず、戦利品を得ようと飛びかかり、主の目に悪とされることを行ったのか。」 15:20 サウルはサムエルに答えた。「わたしは主の御声に聞き従いました。主の御命令どおりに出陣して、アマレクの王アガグを引いて来ましたし、アマレクも滅ぼし尽くしました。 15:21 兵士が、ギルガルであなたの神、主への供え物にしようと、滅ぼし尽くすべき物のうち、最上の羊と牛を、戦利品の中から取り分けたのです。」 15:22 サムエルは言った。「主が喜ばれるのは／焼き尽くす献げ物やいけにえであろうか。むしろ、主の御声に聞き従うことではないか。見よ、聞き従うことはいけにえにまさり／耳を傾けることは雄羊の脂肪にまさる。 15:23 反逆は占いの罪に／高慢は偶像崇拝に等しい。主の御言葉を退けたあなたは／王位から退けられる。」 15:24 サウルはサムエルに言った。「わたしは、主の御命令とあなたの言葉に背いて罪を犯しました。兵士を恐れ、彼らの声に聞き従ってしまいました。 15:25 どうぞ今、わたしの罪を赦し、わたしと一緒に帰ってください。わたしは、主を礼拝します。」 15:26 サムエルはサウルに言った。「あなたと一緒に帰ることはできない。あなたが主の言葉を退けたから、主はあなたをイスラエルの王位から退けられたのだ。」 15:27 サムエルが身を翻して立ち去ろうとすると、サウルは彼の上着の裾をつかんだ。上着は裂けた。 15:28 サムエルは彼に言い渡した。「今日、主はイスラエルの王国をあなたから取り上げ、あなたよりすぐれた隣人にお与えになる。 15:29 イスラエルの栄光である神は、偽ったり気が変わったりすることのない方だ。この方は人間のように気が変わることはない。」 15:30 サウルは言った。「わたしは罪を犯しました。しかし、民の長老の手前、イスラエルの手前、どうかわたしを立てて、わたしと一緒に帰ってください。そうすれば、あなたの神、主を礼拝します。」 15:31 サムエルは彼について帰り、サウルは主を礼拝した。 15:32 サムエルは命じた。「アマレクの王アガグを、わたしのもとに連れて来なさい。」アガグは、喜んで彼のもとに出て来た。これで死の苦しみは免れる、と思ったからである。 15:33 しかし、サムエルは言った。「お前の剣は女たちから子供を奪った。そのようにお前の母も子を奪われた女の一人となる。」こうしてサムエルは、ギルガルで主の御前にアガグを切り殺した。 15:34 サムエルはラマに行き、サウルはギブアの自分の家に向かった。 15:35 サムエルは死ぬ日まで、再びサウルに会おうとせず、サウルのことを嘆いた。主はサウルを、イスラエルの上に王として立てたことを悔いられた。
15:1 Samuel also said to Saul, "The Lord sent me to anoint you king over His people, over Israel. Now therefore, heed the voice of the words of the Lord. 15:2 "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he ambushed him on the way when he came up from Egypt. 15:3 'Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.' " 15:4 So Saul gathered the people together and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand foot soldiers and ten thousand men of Judah. 15:5 And Saul came to a city of Amalek, and lay in wait in the valley. 15:6 Then Saul said to the Kenites, "Go, depart, get down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them. For you showed kindness to all the children of Israel when they came up out of Egypt." So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites. 15:7 And Saul attacked the Amalekites, from Havilah all the way to Shur, which is east of Egypt. 15:8 He also took Agag king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. 15:9 But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and were unwilling to utterly destroy them. But everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed. 15:10 Now the word of the Lord came to Samuel, saying, 15:11 "I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments." And it grieved Samuel, and he cried out to the Lord all night. 15:12 So when Samuel rose early in the morning to meet Saul, it was told Samuel, saying, "Saul went to Carmel, and indeed, he set up a monument for himself; and he has gone on around, passed by, and gone down to Gilgal." 15:13 Then Samuel went to Saul, and Saul said to him, "Blessed are you of the Lord! I have performed the commandment of the Lord." 15:14 But Samuel said, "What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?" 15:15 And Saul said, "They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and the oxen, to sacrifice to the Lord your God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed." 15:16 Then Samuel said to Saul, "Be quiet! And I will tell you what the Lord said to me last night." And he said to him, "Speak on." 15:17 So Samuel said, "When you were little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of Israel? And did not the Lord anoint you king over Israel? 15:18 "Now the Lord sent you on a mission, and said, 'Go, and utterly destroy the sinners, the Amalekites, and fight against them until they are consumed.' 15:19 "Why then did you not obey the voice of the Lord? Why did you swoop down on the spoil, and do evil in the sight of the Lord?" 15:20 And Saul said to Samuel, "But I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and gone on the mission on which the Lord sent me, and brought back Agag king of Amalek; I have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. 15:21 "But the people took of the plunder, sheep and oxen, the best of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the Lord your God in Gilgal." 15:22 Then Samuel said:"Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,As in obeying the voice of the Lord?Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,And to heed than the fat of rams. 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,He also has rejected you from being king." 15:24 Then Saul said to Samuel, "I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice. 15:25 "Now therefore, please pardon my sin, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord." 15:26 But Samuel said to Saul, "I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you from being king over Israel." 15:27 And as Samuel turned around to go away, Saul seized the edge of his robe, and it tore. 15:28 So Samuel said to him, "The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you. 15:29 "And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent." 15:30 Then he said, "I have sinned; yet honor me now, please, before the elders of my people and before Israel, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord your God." 15:31 So Samuel turned back after Saul, and Saul worshiped the Lord. 15:32 Then Samuel said, "Bring Agag king of the Amalekites here to me." So Agag came to him cautiously. And Agag said, "Surely the bitterness of death is past." 15:33 But Samuel said, "As your sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women." And Samuel hacked Agag in pieces before the Lord in Gilgal. 15:34 Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house at Gibeah of Saul. 15:35 And Samuel went no more to see Saul until the day of his death. Nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul, and the Lord regretted that He had made Saul king over Israel.
21:25 「それから、太陽と月と星に徴が現れる。地上では海がどよめき荒れ狂うので、諸国の民は、なすすべを知らず、不安に陥る。 21:26 人々は、この世界に何が起こるのかとおびえ、恐ろしさのあまり気を失うだろう。天体が揺り動かされるからである。 21:27 そのとき、人の子が大いなる力と栄光を帯びて雲に乗って来るのを、人々は見る。 21:28 このようなことが起こり始めたら、身を起こして頭を上げなさい。あなたがたの解放の時が近いからだ。」
21:29 それから、イエスはたとえを話された。「いちじくの木や、ほかのすべての木を見なさい。 21:30 葉が出始めると、それを見て、既に夏の近づいたことがおのずと分かる。 21:31 それと同じように、あなたがたは、これらのことが起こるのを見たら、神の国が近づいていると悟りなさい。 21:32 はっきり言っておく。すべてのことが起こるまでは、この時代は決して滅びない。 21:33 天地は滅びるが、わたしの言葉は決して滅びない。」
21:34 「放縦や深酒や生活の煩いで、心が鈍くならないように注意しなさい。さもないと、その日が不意に罠のようにあなたがたを襲うことになる。 21:35 その日は、地の表のあらゆる所に住む人々すべてに襲いかかるからである。 21:36 しかし、あなたがたは、起ころうとしているこれらすべてのことから逃れて、人の子の前に立つことができるように、いつも目を覚まして祈りなさい。」 21:37 それからイエスは、日中は神殿の境内で教え、夜は出て行って「オリーブ畑」と呼ばれる山で過ごされた。 21:38 民衆は皆、話を聞こうとして、神殿の境内にいるイエスのもとに朝早くから集まって来た。
21:25 "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 21:26 "men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken. 21:27 "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 21:28 "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." 21:29 Then He spoke to them a parable: "Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 21:30 "When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 21:31 "So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. 21:32 "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. 21:33 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. 21:34 "But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 21:35 "For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 21:36 "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man." 21:37 And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mountain called Olivet. 21:38 Then early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him.
