8:1 第六年の六月五日のことである。わたしは自分の家に座っており、ユダの長老たちがわたしの前に座っていた。そのとき、主なる神の御手がわたしの上に下った。 8:2 わたしが見ていると、人の有様のような姿があるではないか。その腰のように見えるところから下は火であり、腰から上は琥珀金の輝きのように光輝に満ちた有様をしていた。 8:3 彼が手の形をしたものを差し伸べて、わたしの髪の毛の房をつかむと、霊はわたしを地と天の間に引き上げ、神の幻のうちにわたしをエルサレムへと運び、北に面する内側の門の入り口に連れて行った。そこには、激怒を起こさせる像が収められていた。 8:4 そこには、かつてわたしが平野で見た有様と同じような、イスラエルの神の栄光があった。 8:5 彼がわたしに、「人の子よ、目を上げて北の方を見なさい」と言ったので、北の方に目を上げると、門の北側に祭壇があり、入り口にはまさにその激怒を招く像があるではないか。 8:6 彼はわたしに言った。「人の子よ、イスラエルの人々がわたしを聖所から遠ざけるために行っている甚だ忌まわしいことを見るか。しかし、あなたは更に甚だしく忌まわしいことを見る。」 8:7 彼はわたしを庭の入り口に連れて行った。見ると、壁に一つの穴があるではないか。 8:8 彼がわたしに、「人の子よ、壁に穴をうがちなさい」と言ったので、壁に穴をうがつと、そこに一つの入り口があるではないか。 8:9 彼は、「入って、彼らがここで行っている邪悪で忌まわしいことを見なさい」と言った。 8:10 入って見ていると、周りの壁一面に、あらゆる地を這うものと獣の憎むべき像、およびイスラエルの家のあらゆる偶像が彫り込まれているではないか。 8:11 その前に、イスラエルの長老七十人が、シャファンの子ヤアザンヤを中心にして立っていた。彼らは、それぞれ香炉を手にしており、かぐわしい煙が立ち昇っていた。 8:12 彼はわたしに言った。「人の子よ、イスラエルの家の長老たちが、闇の中でおのおの、自分の偶像の部屋で行っていることを見たか。彼らは、主は我々を御覧にならない。主はこの地を捨てられたと言っている。」 8:13 彼はまた、わたしに言った。「あなたは、彼らが行っている更に甚だしく忌まわしいことを見る」と。 8:14 彼はわたしを、主の神殿の北に面した門の入り口に連れて行った。そこには、女たちがタンムズ神のために泣きながら座っているではないか。 8:15 そこで彼はわたしに言った。「人の子よ、見たか。あなたは、これより更に甚だしく忌まわしいことを見る」と。 8:16 彼はわたしを主の神殿の中庭に連れて行った。すると、主の聖所の入り口で、廊と祭壇の間に、二十五人ほどの人がいて、主の聖所を背にし、顔を東に向けていた。彼らは東に向かって太陽を拝んでいるではないか。 8:17 彼はわたしに言った。「人の子よ、見たか。ユダの家がここで数々の忌まわしいことを行っているのは些細なことであろうか。彼らはこの地を不法で満たした。また、わたしの鼻に木の枝を突きつけて、わたしを更に怒らせようとしている。 8:18 わたしも憤って行い、慈しみの目を注ぐことも、憐れみをかけることもしない。彼らがわたしの耳に向かって大声をあげても、わたしは彼らに聞きはしない。」
8:1 And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house with the elders of Judah sitting before me, that the hand of the Lord God fell upon me there. 8:2 Then I looked, and there was a likeness, like the appearance of fire-from the appearance of His waist and downward, fire; and from His waist and upward, like the appearance of brightness, like the color of amber. 8:3 He stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my hair; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the north gate of the inner court, where the seat of the image of jealousy was, which provokes to jealousy. 8:4 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, like the vision that I saw in the plain. 8:5 Then He said to me, "Son of man, lift your eyes now toward the north." So I lifted my eyes toward the north, and there, north of the altar gate, was this image of jealousy in the entrance. 8:6 Furthermore He said to me, "Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, to make Me go far away from My sanctuary? Now turn again, you will see greater abominations." 8:7 So He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, there was a hole in the wall. 8:8 Then He said to me, "Son of man, dig into the wall"; and when I dug into the wall, there was a door. 8:9 And He said to me, "Go in, and see the wicked abominations which they are doing there." 8:10 So I went in and saw, and there-every sort of creeping thing, abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed all around on the walls. 8:11 And there stood before them seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, and in their midst stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan. Each man had a censer in his hand, and a thick cloud of incense went up. 8:12 Then He said to me, "Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the room of his idols? For they say, 'The Lord does not see us, the Lord has forsaken the land.' " 8:13 And He said to me, "Turn again, and you will see greater abominations that they are doing." 8:14 So He brought me to the door of the north gate of the Lord's house; and to my dismay, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz. 8:15 Then He said to me, "Have you seen this, O son of man? Turn again, you will see greater abominations than these." 8:16 So He brought me into the inner court of the Lord's house; and there, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun toward the east. 8:17 And He said to me, "Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a trivial thing to the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence; then they have returned to provoke Me to anger. Indeed they put the branch to their nose. 8:18 "Therefore I also will act in fury. My eye will not spare nor will I have pity; and though they cry in My ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them."
4:11 だから、わたしたちはこの安息にあずかるように努力しようではありませんか。さもないと、同じ不従順の例に倣って堕落する者が出るかもしれません。 4:12 というのは、神の言葉は生きており、力を発揮し、どんな両刃の剣よりも鋭く、精神と霊、関節と骨髄とを切り離すほどに刺し通して、心の思いや考えを見分けることができるからです。 4:13 更に、神の御前では隠れた被造物は一つもなく、すべてのものが神の目には裸であり、さらけ出されているのです。この神に対して、わたしたちは自分のことを申し述べねばなりません。
4:14 さて、わたしたちには、もろもろの天を通過された偉大な大祭司、神の子イエスが与えられているのですから、わたしたちの公に言い表している信仰をしっかり保とうではありませんか。 4:15 この大祭司は、わたしたちの弱さに同情できない方ではなく、罪を犯されなかったが、あらゆる点において、わたしたちと同様に試練に遭われたのです。 4:16 だから、憐れみを受け、恵みにあずかって、時宜にかなった助けをいただくために、大胆に恵みの座に近づこうではありませんか。
4:11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
