32:1 And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 32:2 "Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him:'You are like a young lion among the nations,And you are like a monster in the seas,Bursting forth in your rivers,Troubling the waters with your feet,And fouling their rivers.' 32:3 "Thus says the Lord God:'I will therefore spread My net over you with a company of many people,And they will draw you up in My net. 32:4 Then I will leave you on the land;I will cast you out on the open fields,And cause to settle on you all the birds of the heavens.And with you I will fill the beasts of the whole earth. 32:5 I will lay your flesh on the mountains,And fill the valleys with your carcass. 32:6 'I will also water the land with the flow of your blood,Even to the mountains;And the riverbeds will be full of you. 32:7 When I put out your light,I will cover the heavens, and make its stars dark;I will cover the sun with a cloud,And the moon shall not give her light. 32:8 All the bright lights of the heavens I will make dark over you,And bring darkness upon your land,'Says the Lord God. 32:9 'I will also trouble the hearts of many peoples, when I bring your destruction among the nations, into the countries which you have not known. 32:10 'Yes, I will make many peoples astonished at you, and their kings shall be horribly afraid of you when I brandish My sword before them; and they shall tremble every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of your fall.' 32:11 "For thus says the Lord God: 'The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon you. 32:12 'By the swords of the mighty warriors, all of them the most terrible of the nations, I will cause your multitude to fall.'They shall plunder the pomp of Egypt,And all its multitude shall be destroyed. 32:13 Also I will destroy all its animalsFrom beside its great waters;The foot of man shall muddy them no more,Nor shall the hooves of animals muddy them. 32:14 Then I will make their waters clear,And make their rivers run like oil,'Says the Lord God. 32:15 'When I make the land of Egypt desolate,And the country is destitute of all that once filled it,When I strike all who dwell in it,Then they shall know that I am the Lord. 32:16 'This is the lamentationWith which they shall lament her;The daughters of the nations shall lament her;They shall lament for her, for Egypt,And for all her multitude,'Says the Lord God." 32:17 It came to pass also in the twelfth year, on the fifteenth day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 32:18 "Son of man, wail over the multitude of Egypt,And cast them down to the depths of the earth,Her and the daughters of the famous nations,With those who go down to the Pit: 32:19 'Whom do you surpass in beauty?Go down, be placed with the uncircumcised.' 32:20 "They shall fall in the midst of those slain by the sword;She is delivered to the sword,Drawing her and all her multitudes. 32:21 The strong among the mightyShall speak to him out of the midst of hellWith those who help him:'They have gone down,They lie with the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.' 32:22 "Assyria is there, and all her company,With their graves all around her,All of them slain, fallen by the sword. 32:23 Her graves are set in the recesses of the Pit,And her company is all around her grave,All of them slain, fallen by the sword,Who caused terror in the land of the living. 32:24 "There is Elam and all her multitude,All around her grave,All of them slain, fallen by the sword,Who have gone down uncircumcised to the lower parts of the earth,Who caused their terror in the land of the living;Now they bear their shame with those who go down to the Pit. 32:25 They have set her bed in the midst of the slain,With all her multitude,With her graves all around it,All of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword;Though their terror was causedIn the land of the living,Yet they bear their shameWith those who go down to the Pit;It was put in the midst of the slain. 32:26 "There are Meshech and Tubal and all their multitudes,With all their graves around it,All of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword,Though they caused their terror in the land of the living. 32:27 They do not lie with the mightyWho are fallen of the uncircumcised,Who have gone down to hell with their weapons of war;They have laid their swords under their heads,But their iniquities will be on their bones,Because of the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. 32:28 Yes, you shall be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised,And lie with those slain by the sword. 32:29 "There is Edom,Her kings and all her princes,Who despite their mightAre laid beside those slain by the sword;They shall lie with the uncircumcised,And with those who go down to the Pit. 32:30 There are the princes of the north,All of them, and all the Sidonians,Who have gone down with the slainIn shame at the terror which they caused by their might;They lie uncircumcised with those slain by the sword,And bear their shame with those who go down to the Pit. 32:31 "Pharaoh will see themAnd be comforted over all his multitude,Pharaoh and all his army,Slain by the sword,"Says the Lord God. 32:32 "For I have caused My terror in the land of the living;And he shall be placed in the midst of the uncircumcisedWith those slain by the sword,Pharaoh and all his multitude,"Says the Lord God.
1:1 神と主イエス・キリストの僕であるヤコブが、離散している十二部族の人たちに挨拶いたします。
1:2 わたしの兄弟たち、いろいろな試練に出会うときは、この上ない喜びと思いなさい。 1:3 信仰が試されることで忍耐が生じると、あなたがたは知っています。 1:4 あくまでも忍耐しなさい。そうすれば、完全で申し分なく、何一つ欠けたところのない人になります。 1:5 あなたがたの中で知恵の欠けている人がいれば、だれにでも惜しみなくとがめだてしないでお与えになる神に願いなさい。そうすれば、与えられます。 1:6 いささかも疑わず、信仰をもって願いなさい。疑う者は、風に吹かれて揺れ動く海の波に似ています。 1:7 そういう人は、主から何かいただけると思ってはなりません。 1:8 心が定まらず、生き方全体に安定を欠く人です。
1:9 貧しい兄弟は、自分が高められることを誇りに思いなさい。 1:10 また、富んでいる者は、自分が低くされることを誇りに思いなさい。富んでいる者は草花のように滅び去るからです。 1:11 日が昇り熱風が吹きつけると、草は枯れ、花は散り、その美しさは失せてしまいます。同じように、富んでいる者も、人生の半ばで消えうせるのです。
1:12 試練を耐え忍ぶ人は幸いです。その人は適格者と認められ、神を愛する人々に約束された命の冠をいただくからです。 1:13 誘惑に遭うとき、だれも、「神に誘惑されている」と言ってはなりません。神は、悪の誘惑を受けるような方ではなく、また、御自分でも人を誘惑したりなさらないからです。 1:14 むしろ、人はそれぞれ、自分自身の欲望に引かれ、唆されて、誘惑に陥るのです。 1:15 そして、欲望ははらんで罪を生み、罪が熟して死を生みます。
1:1 James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 1:3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 1:4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 1:6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 1:7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 1:8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. 1:9 Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, 1:10 but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. 1:11 For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits. 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 1:14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 1:15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
