3:1 わたしは／主の怒りの杖に打たれて苦しみを知った者。 3:2 闇の中に追い立てられ、光なく歩く。 3:3 そのわたしを、御手がさまざまに責め続ける。 3:4 わたしの皮膚を打ち、肉を打ち／骨をことごとく砕く。 3:5 陣を敷き、包囲して／わたしを疲労と欠乏に陥れ 3:6 大昔の死者らと共に／わたしを闇の奥に住まわせる。 3:7 柵を巡らして逃げ道をふさぎ／重い鎖でわたしを縛りつける。 3:8 助けを求めて叫びをあげても／わたしの訴えはだれにも届かない。 3:9 切り石を積んで行く手をふさぎ／道を曲げてわたしを迷わす。 3:10 熊のようにわたしを待ち伏せ／獅子のようにひそみ 3:11 逃げ惑うわたしを引き裂いて捨てる。 3:12 弓に矢をつがえて引き絞り／わたしにねらいを定める。 3:13 箙の矢を次々と放ち／わたしの腎臓を射抜く。 3:14 民は皆、わたしを嘲笑い／絶え間なく嘲りの歌を浴びせる。 3:15 わたしを苦悩に飽かせ、苦汁を飲ませられる。 3:16 砂利をかませてわたしの歯を砕き／塵の中にわたしを打ち倒す。 3:17 わたしの魂は平和を失い／幸福を忘れた。 3:18 わたしは言う／「わたしの生きる力は絶えた／ただ主を待ち望もう」と。 3:19 苦汁と欠乏の中で／貧しくさすらったときのことを 3:20 決して忘れず、覚えているからこそ／わたしの魂は沈み込んでいても 3:21 再び心を励まし、なお待ち望む。 3:22 主の慈しみは決して絶えない。主の憐れみは決して尽きない。 3:23 それは朝ごとに新たになる。「あなたの真実はそれほど深い。 3:24 主こそわたしの受ける分」とわたしの魂は言い／わたしは主を待ち望む。 3:25 主に望みをおき尋ね求める魂に／主は幸いをお与えになる。 3:26 主の救いを黙して待てば、幸いを得る。 3:27 若いときに軛を負った人は、幸いを得る。 3:28 軛を負わされたなら／黙して、独り座っているがよい。 3:29 塵に口をつけよ、望みが見いだせるかもしれない。 3:30 打つ者に頬を向けよ／十分に懲らしめを味わえ。 3:31 主は、決して／あなたをいつまでも捨て置かれはしない。 3:32 主の慈しみは深く／懲らしめても、また憐れんでくださる。 3:33 人の子らを苦しめ悩ますことがあっても／それが御心なのではない。 3:34 この地の捕われ人をだれかれなく／足の下に踏みにじったり 3:35 いと高き神の御前をもはばからずに／他人の権利を奪ったり 3:36 申し立てを曲解して裁いたりすれば／主は決してそれを見過ごしにはされない。 3:37 誰が「あれ」といってあらしめえようか。主が命じられることではないか。 3:38 災いも、幸いも／いと高き神の命令によるものではないか。 3:39 生身の人間が、ひとりひとり／自分の過ちについてとやかく言うことはない。 3:40 わたしたちは自らの道を探し求めて／主に立ち帰ろう。 3:41 天にいます神に向かって／両手を上げ心も挙げて言おう。 3:42 わたしたちは、背き逆らいました。あなたは、お赦しになりませんでした。 3:43 あなたは怒りに包まれて追い迫り／わたしたちを打ち殺して容赦なさらない。 3:44 あなたは雲の中に御自分をとざし／どんな祈りもさえぎられます。 3:45 わたしたちを塵、芥のようにして／諸国の民の中にお見捨てになりました。 3:46 敵は皆、わたしたちに向かって大口を開く。 3:47 恐れとおののきが、騒乱と破壊が、襲いかかる。 3:48 わたしの民の娘は打ち砕かれ／わたしの目は滝のように涙を流す。 3:49 わたしの目は休むことなく涙を流し続ける。 3:50 主が天から見下ろし／目を留めてくださるときまで。 3:51 わたしの都の娘らを見て／わたしの目は魂に痛みをもたらす。 3:52 敵はゆえなくわたしを追う／鳥を追う狩人のように。 3:53 命を絶とうとわたしを穴に落とし／その上に石を投げる。 3:54 水はわたしの頭を越え／もう最期だとわたしは思った。 3:55 深い穴の底から／主よ、わたしは御名を呼びます。 3:56 耳を閉ざさず、この声を聞き／わたしを助け、救い出してください。 3:57 呼び求めるわたしに近づき／恐れるなと言ってください。 3:58 主よ、生死にかかわるこの争いを／わたしに代わって争い、命を贖ってください。 3:59 主よ、わたしになされた不正を見／わたしの訴えを取り上げてください。 3:60 わたしに対する悪意を／謀のすべてを見てください。 3:61 主よ、わたしに向けられる嘲りと／謀のすべてを聞いてください。 3:62 敵対する者の唇、吐く言葉は／絶え間なくわたしを責めます。 3:63 御覧ください、彼らは座るにも立つにも／わたしを嘲って歌いはやします。 3:64 主よ、その仕業にしたがって／彼らを罰してください。 3:65 彼らの上に呪いを注いで／彼らの心を頑にしてください。 3:66 主よ、あなたのいます天の下から彼らを追い／御怒りによって滅ぼし去ってください。
3:1 I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of His wrath. 3:2 He has led me and made me walkIn darkness and not in light. 3:3 Surely He has turned His hand against meTime and time again throughout the day. 3:4 He has aged my flesh and my skin,And broken my bones. 3:5 He has besieged meAnd surrounded me with bitterness and woe. 3:6 He has set me in dark placesLike the dead of long ago. 3:7 He has hedged me in so that I cannot get out;He has made my chain heavy. 3:8 Even when I cry and shout,He shuts out my prayer. 3:9 He has blocked my ways with hewn stone;He has made my paths crooked. 3:10 He has been to me a bear lying in wait,Like a lion in ambush. 3:11 He has turned aside my ways and torn me in pieces;He has made me desolate. 3:12 He has bent His bowAnd set me up as a target for the arrow. 3:13 He has caused the arrows of His quiverTo pierce my loins. 3:14 I have become the ridicule of all my people-Their taunting song all the day. 3:15 He has filled me with bitterness,He has made me drink wormwood. 3:16 He has also broken my teeth with gravel,And covered me with ashes. 3:17 You have moved my soul far from peace;I have forgotten prosperity. 3:18 And I said, "My strength and my hopeHave perished from the Lord." 3:19 Remember my affliction and roaming,The wormwood and the gall. 3:20 My soul still remembersAnd sinks within me. 3:21 This I recall to my mind,Therefore I have hope. 3:22 Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed,Because His compassions fail not. 3:23 They are new every morning;Great is Your faithfulness. 3:24 "The Lord is my portion," says my soul,"Therefore I hope in Him!" 3:25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,To the soul who seeks Him. 3:26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietlyFor the salvation of the Lord. 3:27 It is good for a man to bearThe yoke in his youth. 3:28 Let him sit alone and keep silent,Because God has laid it on him; 3:29 Let him put his mouth in the dust-There may yet be hope. 3:30 Let him give his cheek to the one who strikes him,And be full of reproach. 3:31 For the Lord will not cast off forever. 3:32 Though He causes grief,Yet He will show compassionAccording to the multitude of His mercies. 3:33 For He does not afflict willingly,Nor grieve the children of men. 3:34 To crush under one's feetAll the prisoners of the earth, 3:35 To turn aside the justice due a manBefore the face of the Most High, 3:36 Or subvert a man in his cause-The Lord does not approve. 3:37 Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass,When the Lord has not commanded it? 3:38 Is it not from the mouth of the Most HighThat woe and well-being proceed? 3:39 Why should a living man complain,A man for the punishment of his sins? 3:40 Let us search out and examine our ways,And turn back to the Lord; 3:41 Let us lift our hearts and handsTo God in heaven. 3:42 We have transgressed and rebelled;You have not pardoned. 3:43 You have covered Yourself with angerAnd pursued us;You have slain and not pitied. 3:44 You have covered Yourself with a cloud,That prayer should not pass through. 3:45 You have made us an offscouring and refuseIn the midst of the peoples. 3:46 All our enemiesHave opened their mouths against us. 3:47 Fear and a snare have come upon us,Desolation and destruction. 3:48 My eyes overflow with rivers of waterFor the destruction of the daughter of my people. 3:49 My eyes flow and do not cease,Without interruption, 3:50 Till the Lord from heavenLooks down and sees. 3:51 My eyes bring suffering to my soulBecause of all the daughters of my city. 3:52 My enemies without causeHunted me down like a bird. 3:53 They silenced my life in the pitAnd threw stones at me. 3:54 The waters flowed over my head;I said, "I am cut off!" 3:55 I called on Your name, O Lord,From the lowest pit. 3:56 You have heard my voice:"Do not hide Your earFrom my sighing, from my cry for help." 3:57 You drew near on the day I called on You,And said, "Do not fear!" 3:58 O Lord, You have pleaded the case for my soul;You have redeemed my life. 3:59 O Lord, You have seen how I am wronged;Judge my case. 3:60 You have seen all their vengeance,All their schemes against me. 3:61 You have heard their reproach, O Lord,All their schemes against me, 3:62 The lips of my enemiesAnd their whispering against me all the day. 3:63 Look at their sitting down and their rising up;I am their taunting song. 3:64 Repay them, O Lord,According to the work of their hands. 3:65 Give them a veiled heart;Your curse be upon them! 3:66 In Your anger,Pursue and destroy themFrom under the heavens of the Lord.

1:1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To Philemon our beloved friend and fellow laborer, 1:2 to the beloved Apphia, Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house: 1:3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1:4 I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, 1:5 hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, 1:6 that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. 1:7 For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.
