47:1 預言者エレミヤに臨んだ主の言葉。ファラオがガザを撃つ前にペリシテ人に向かって。 47:2 主はこう言われる。見よ、北から水が湧き上がり／川となって押し寄せ／地とそこに満ちるもの／町とその住民を押し流す。男たちも叫び、住民は皆、悲鳴をあげる。 47:3 軍馬のひづめの音／戦車のごう音、車輪の響きに／父親は力を失い／子供を顧みることもできない。 47:4 ペリシテ人をすべて滅ぼす日が来る。ティルスとシドンは最後の援軍も断たれる。主がペリシテ人を滅ぼされる／カフトルの島の残りの者まで。 47:5 ガザでは頭をそり落とし／アシュケロンは破滅する。平野に残る者よ／いつまで、身を傷つけるのか。 47:6 災いだ、主が剣を取られた。いつまで、お前は静かにならないのか。鞘に退き、鎮まって沈黙せよ。 47:7 どうして、静かにできようか／主が剣に命じて／アシュケロンと海辺の地に向けて／遣わされたからには。

4:1 神の御前で、そして、生きている者と死んだ者を裁くために来られるキリスト・イエスの御前で、その出現とその御国とを思いつつ、厳かに命じます。 4:2 御言葉を宣べ伝えなさい。折が良くても悪くても励みなさい。とがめ、戒め、励ましなさい。忍耐強く、十分に教えるのです。 4:3 だれも健全な教えを聞こうとしない時が来ます。そのとき、人々は自分に都合の良いことを聞こうと、好き勝手に教師たちを寄せ集め、 4:4 真理から耳を背け、作り話の方にそれて行くようになります。 4:5 しかしあなたは、どんな場合にも身を慎み、苦しみを耐え忍び、福音宣教者の仕事に励み、自分の務めを果たしなさい。 4:6 わたし自身は、既にいけにえとして献げられています。世を去る時が近づきました。 4:7 わたしは、戦いを立派に戦い抜き、決められた道を走りとおし、信仰を守り抜きました。 4:8 今や、義の栄冠を受けるばかりです。正しい審判者である主が、かの日にそれをわたしに授けてくださるのです。しかし、わたしだけでなく、主が来られるのをひたすら待ち望む人には、だれにでも授けてくださいます。
4:1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4:4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 4:5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. 4:6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 4:8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
