1:1 The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, 1:2 to whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign. 1:3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month. 1:4 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;Before you were born I sanctified you;I ordained you a prophet to the nations." 1:6 Then said I:"Ah, Lord God!Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth." 1:7 But the Lord said to me:"Do not say, 'I am a youth,'For you shall go to all to whom I send you,And whatever I command you, you shall speak. 1:8 Do not be afraid of their faces,For I am with you to deliver you," says the Lord. 1:9 Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me:"Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. 1:10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms,To root out and to pull down,To destroy and to throw down,To build and to plant." 1:11 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, "Jeremiah, what do you see?" And I said, "I see a branch of an almond tree." 1:12 Then the Lord said to me, "You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word." 1:13 And the word of the Lord came to me the second time, saying, "What do you see?" And I said, "I see a boiling pot, and it is facing away from the north." 1:14 Then the Lord said to me:"Out of the north calamity shall break forthOn all the inhabitants of the land. 1:15 For behold, I am callingAll the families of the kingdoms of the north," says the Lord;"They shall come and each one set his throneAt the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem,Against all its walls all around,And against all the cities of Judah. 1:16 I will utter My judgmentsAgainst them concerning all their wickedness,Because they have forsaken Me,Burned incense to other gods,And worshiped the works of their own hands. 1:17 "Therefore prepare yourself and arise,And speak to them all that I command you.Do not be dismayed before their faces,Lest I dismay you before them. 1:18 For behold, I have made you this dayA fortified city and an iron pillar,And bronze walls against the whole land-Against the kings of Judah,Against its princes,Against its priests,And against the people of the land. 1:19 They will fight against you,But they shall not prevail against you.For I am with you," says the Lord, "to deliver you."
4:10 さて、あなたがたがわたしへの心遣いを、ついにまた表してくれたことを、わたしは主において非常に喜びました。今までは思いはあっても、それを表す機会がなかったのでしょう。 4:11 物欲しさにこう言っているのではありません。わたしは、自分の置かれた境遇に満足することを習い覚えたのです。 4:12 貧しく暮らすすべも、豊かに暮らすすべも知っています。満腹していても、空腹であっても、物が有り余っていても不足していても、いついかなる場合にも対処する秘訣を授かっています。 4:13 わたしを強めてくださる方のお陰で、わたしにはすべてが可能です。 4:14 それにしても、あなたがたは、よくわたしと苦しみを共にしてくれました。 4:15 フィリピの人たち、あなたがたも知っているとおり、わたしが福音の宣教の初めにマケドニア州を出たとき、もののやり取りでわたしの働きに参加した教会はあなたがたのほかに一つもありませんでした。 4:16 また、テサロニケにいたときにも、あなたがたはわたしの窮乏を救おうとして、何度も物を送ってくれました。 4:17 贈り物を当てにして言うわけではありません。むしろ、あなたがたの益となる豊かな実を望んでいるのです。 4:18 わたしはあらゆるものを受けており、豊かになっています。そちらからの贈り物をエパフロディトから受け取って満ち足りています。それは香ばしい香りであり、神が喜んで受けてくださるいけにえです。 4:19 わたしの神は、御自分の栄光の富に応じて、キリスト・イエスによって、あなたがたに必要なものをすべて満たしてくださいます。 4:20 わたしたちの父である神に、栄光が世々限りなくありますように、アーメン。
4:21 キリスト・イエスに結ばれているすべての聖なる者たちに、よろしく伝えてください。わたしと一緒にいる兄弟たちも、あなたがたによろしくと言っています。 4:22 すべての聖なる者たちから、特に皇帝の家の人たちからよろしくとのことです。 4:23 主イエス・キリストの恵みが、あなたがたの霊と共にあるように。
4:10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. 4:11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 4:12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 4:14 Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my distress. 4:15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. 4:16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. 4:17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. 4:18 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 4:20 Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. 4:21 Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you. 4:22 All the saints greet you, but especially those who are of Caesar's household. 4:23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
