38:1 そのころ、ヒゼキヤは死の病にかかった。預言者、アモツの子イザヤが訪ねて来て、「主はこう言われる。『あなたは死ぬことになっていて、命はないのだから、家族に遺言をしなさい』」と言った。 38:2 ヒゼキヤは顔を壁に向けて、主にこう祈った。 38:3 「ああ、主よ、わたしがまことを尽くし、ひたむきな心をもって御前を歩み、御目にかなう善いことを行ってきたことを思い起こしてください。」こう言って、ヒゼキヤは涙を流して大いに泣いた。 38:4 主の言葉がイザヤに臨んだ。 38:5 「ヒゼキヤのもとに行って言いなさい。あなたの父祖ダビデの神、主はこう言われる。わたしはあなたの祈りを聞き、涙を見た。見よ、わたしはあなたの寿命を十五年延ばし、 38:6 アッシリアの王の手からあなたとこの都を救い出す。わたしはこの都を守り抜く。」 38:7 ここに主によって与えられるしるしがあります。それによって、主は約束なさったことを実現されることが分かります。 38:8 「見よ、わたしは日時計の影、太陽によってアハズの日時計に落ちた影を、十度後戻りさせる。」太陽は陰の落ちた日時計の中で十度戻った。 38:9 病気であったが、その病気が治って命を得たユダの王ヒゼキヤの記した歌、ミクタブ。 38:10 わたしは思った。人生の半ばにあって行かねばならないのか／陰府の門に残る齢をゆだねるのか、と。 38:11 わたしは思った。命ある者の地にいて主を見ることもなくなり／消えゆく者の国に住む者に加えられ／もう人を見ることもない、と。 38:12 わたしの生涯は羊飼いの天幕のように／引き抜かれ、取り去られてしまった。わたしはわたしの命を織物のように巻き終わり／糸から切り離されてしまった。昼も夜も／あなたはわたしの息の根を止めようとされる。 38:13 夜明けまでわたしはそれを甘んじて受け／獅子に砕かれるように／わたしの骨はことごとく砕かれてしまう。昼も夜も／あなたはわたしの息の根を止めようとされる。 38:14 つばめや鶴のように／わたしはすすり泣きの声をあげ／鳩のようにわたしは呻く。天を仰いでわたしの目は弱り果てる。わが主よ、わたしは責めさいなまれています。どうかわたしの保証人となってください。 38:15 わたしは何と言えば答えてもらえるのか／そのようなことをなさる主に。わたしは心に苦痛を抱きながら／すべての年月をあえぎ行かねばならないのか。 38:16 主が近くにいてくだされば、人々は生き続けます。わたしの霊も絶えず生かしてください。わたしを健やかにし、わたしを生かしてください。 38:17 見よ、わたしの受けた苦痛は／平和のためにほかならない。あなたはわたしの魂に思いを寄せ／滅びの穴に陥らないようにしてくださった。あなたはわたしの罪をすべて／あなたの後ろに投げ捨ててくださった。 38:18 陰府があなたに感謝することはなく／死があなたを賛美することはないので／墓に下る者は／あなたのまことを期待することができない。 38:19 命ある者、命ある者のみが／今日の、わたしのようにあなたに感謝し／父は子にあなたのまことを知らせるのです。 38:20 主よ、あなたはわたしを救ってくださった。わたしたちは命のあるかぎり主の神殿で／わたしの音楽を共に奏でるでしょう。 38:21 イザヤが、「干しいちじくを持って来るように」と言うので、人々がそれを患部につけると王は回復した。 38:22 ヒゼキヤは言った。「わたしが主の神殿に上れることを示すしるしは何でしょうか。」
[ 38 ] 38:1 In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, "Thus says the Lord: 'Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.' " 38:2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, 38:3 and said, "Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly. 38:4 And the word of the Lord came to Isaiah, saying, 38:5 "Go and tell Hezekiah, 'Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years. 38:6 "I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city." ' 38:7 "And this is the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing which He has spoken: 38:8 "Behold, I will bring the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down with the sun on the sundial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward." So the sun returned ten degrees on the dial by which it had gone down. 38:9 This is the writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick and had recovered from his sickness: 38:10 I said,"In the prime of my lifeI shall go to the gates of Sheol;I am deprived of the remainder of my years." 38:11 I said,"I shall not see Yah,The Lord in the land of the living;I shall observe man no more among the inhabitants of the world. 38:12 My life span is gone,Taken from me like a shepherd's tent;I have cut off my life like a weaver.He cuts me off from the loom;From day until night You make an end of me. 38:13 I have considered until morning-Like a lion,So He breaks all my bones;From day until night You make an end of me. 38:14 Like a crane or a swallow, so I chattered;I mourned like a dove;My eyes fail from looking upward.O Lord, I am oppressed;Undertake for me! 38:15 "What shall I say?He has both spoken to me,And He Himself has done it.I shall walk carefully all my yearsIn the bitterness of my soul. 38:16 O Lord, by these things men live;And in all these things is the life of my spirit;So You will restore me and make me live. 38:17 Indeed it was for my own peaceThat I had great bitterness;But You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption,For You have cast all my sins behind Your back. 38:18 For Sheol cannot thank You,Death cannot praise You;Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your truth. 38:19 The living, the living man, he shall praise You,As I do this day;The father shall make known Your truth to the children. 38:20 "The Lord was ready to save me;Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instrumentsAll the days of our life, in the house of the Lord." 38:21 Now Isaiah had said, "Let them take a lump of figs, and apply it as a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover." 38:22 And Hezekiah had said, "What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the Lord?"
3:15 兄弟たち、分かりやすく説明しましょう。人の作った遺言でさえ、法律的に有効となったら、だれも無効にしたり、それに追加したりはできません。 3:16 ところで、アブラハムとその子孫に対して約束が告げられましたが、その際、多くの人を指して「子孫たちとに」とは言われず、一人の人を指して「あなたの子孫とに」と言われています。この「子孫」とは、キリストのことです。 3:17 わたしが言いたいのは、こうです。神によってあらかじめ有効なものと定められた契約を、それから四百三十年後にできた律法が無効にして、その約束を反故にすることはないということです。 3:18 相続が律法に由来するものなら、もはや、それは約束に由来するものではありません。しかし神は、約束によってアブラハムにその恵みをお与えになったのです。 3:19 では、律法とはいったい何か。律法は、約束を与えられたあの子孫が来られるときまで、違犯を明らかにするために付け加えられたもので、天使たちを通し、仲介者の手を経て制定されたものです。 3:20 仲介者というものは、一人で事を行う場合には要りません。約束の場合、神はひとりで事を運ばれたのです。
3:21 それでは、律法は神の約束に反するものなのでしょうか。決してそうではない。万一、人を生かすことができる律法が与えられたとするなら、確かに人は律法によって義とされたでしょう。 3:22 しかし、聖書はすべてのものを罪の支配下に閉じ込めたのです。それは、神の約束が、イエス・キリストへの信仰によって、信じる人々に与えられるようになるためでした。
3:15 Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man's covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it. 3:16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Christ. 3:17 And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. 3:18 For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise. 3:19 What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. 3:20 Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one. 3:21 Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 3:22 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
