53:1 わたしたちの聞いたことを、誰が信じえようか。主は御腕の力を誰に示されたことがあろうか。 53:2 乾いた地に埋もれた根から生え出た若枝のように／この人は主の前に育った。見るべき面影はなく／輝かしい風格も、好ましい容姿もない。 53:3 彼は軽蔑され、人々に見捨てられ／多くの痛みを負い、病を知っている。彼はわたしたちに顔を隠し／わたしたちは彼を軽蔑し、無視していた。 53:4 彼が担ったのはわたしたちの病／彼が負ったのはわたしたちの痛みであったのに／わたしたちは思っていた／神の手にかかり、打たれたから／彼は苦しんでいるのだ、と。 53:5 彼が刺し貫かれたのは／わたしたちの背きのためであり／彼が打ち砕かれたのは／わたしたちの咎のためであった。彼の受けた懲らしめによって／わたしたちに平和が与えられ／彼の受けた傷によって、わたしたちはいやされた。 53:6 わたしたちは羊の群れ／道を誤り、それぞれの方角に向かって行った。そのわたしたちの罪をすべて／主は彼に負わせられた。 53:7 苦役を課せられて、かがみ込み／彼は口を開かなかった。屠り場に引かれる小羊のように／毛を切る者の前に物を言わない羊のように／彼は口を開かなかった。 53:8 捕らえられ、裁きを受けて、彼は命を取られた。彼の時代の誰が思い巡らしたであろうか／わたしの民の背きのゆえに、彼が神の手にかかり／命ある者の地から断たれたことを。 53:9 彼は不法を働かず／その口に偽りもなかったのに／その墓は神に逆らう者と共にされ／富める者と共に葬られた。 53:10 病に苦しむこの人を打ち砕こうと主は望まれ／彼は自らを償いの献げ物とした。彼は、子孫が末永く続くのを見る。主の望まれることは／彼の手によって成し遂げられる。 53:11 彼は自らの苦しみの実りを見／それを知って満足する。わたしの僕は、多くの人が正しい者とされるために／彼らの罪を自ら負った。 53:12 それゆえ、わたしは多くの人を彼の取り分とし／彼は戦利品としておびただしい人を受ける。彼が自らをなげうち、死んで／罪人のひとりに数えられたからだ。多くの人の過ちを担い／背いた者のために執り成しをしたのは／この人であった。
53:1 Who has believed our report?And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 53:2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,And as a root out of dry ground.He has no form or comeliness;And when we see Him,There is no beauty that we should desire Him. 53:3 He is despised and rejected by men,A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefsAnd carried our sorrows;Yet we esteemed Him stricken,Smitten by God, and afflicted. 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,He was bruised for our iniquities;The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,And by His stripes we are healed. 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray;We have turned, every one, to his own way;And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. 53:7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,Yet He opened not His mouth;He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,So He opened not His mouth. 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment,And who will declare His generation?For He was cut off from the land of the living;For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. 53:9 And they made His grave with the wicked-But with the rich at His death,Because He had done no violence,Nor was any deceit in His mouth. 53:10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him;He has put Him to grief.When You make His soul an offering for sin,He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. 53:11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,For He shall bear their iniquities. 53:12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,And He shall divide the spoil with the strong,Because He poured out His soul unto death,And He was numbered with the transgressors,And He bore the sin of many,And made intercession for the transgressors.
4:17 そこで、わたしは主によって強く勧めます。もはや、異邦人と同じように歩んではなりません。彼らは愚かな考えに従って歩み、 4:18 知性は暗くなり、彼らの中にある無知とその心のかたくなさのために、神の命から遠く離れています。 4:19 そして、無感覚になって放縦な生活をし、あらゆるふしだらな行いにふけってとどまるところを知りません。 4:20 しかし、あなたがたは、キリストをこのように学んだのではありません。 4:21 キリストについて聞き、キリストに結ばれて教えられ、真理がイエスの内にあるとおりに学んだはずです。 4:22 だから、以前のような生き方をして情欲に迷わされ、滅びに向かっている古い人を脱ぎ捨て、 4:23 心の底から新たにされて、 4:24 神にかたどって造られた新しい人を身に着け、真理に基づいた正しく清い生活を送るようにしなければなりません。
4:25 だから、偽りを捨て、それぞれ隣人に対して真実を語りなさい。わたしたちは、互いに体の一部なのです。 4:26 怒ることがあっても、罪を犯してはなりません。日が暮れるまで怒ったままでいてはいけません。 4:27 悪魔にすきを与えてはなりません。 4:28 盗みを働いていた者は、今からは盗んではいけません。むしろ、労苦して自分の手で正当な収入を得、困っている人々に分け与えるようにしなさい。 4:29 悪い言葉を一切口にしてはなりません。ただ、聞く人に恵みが与えられるように、その人を造り上げるのに役立つ言葉を、必要に応じて語りなさい。 4:30 神の聖霊を悲しませてはいけません。あなたがたは、聖霊により、贖いの日に対して保証されているのです。 4:31 無慈悲、憤り、怒り、わめき、そしりなどすべてを、一切の悪意と一緒に捨てなさい。 4:32 互いに親切にし、憐れみの心で接し、神がキリストによってあなたがたを赦してくださったように、赦し合いなさい。
4:17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 4:18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 4:19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 4:20 But you have not so learned Christ, 4:21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 4:22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 4:23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 4:24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. 4:25 Therefore, putting away lying, "Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another. 4:26 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 4:27 nor give place to the devil. 4:28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 4:31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.
