34:1 もろもろの国よ、近づいて聞け／もろもろの民よ、耳を傾けよ。聞け、大地とそこに満ちるすべてのもの／世界とそこに生ずるすべてのものよ。 34:2 主はすべての国に向かって憤りを発し／怒りは、その全軍に及ぶ。主は絶滅することを定め／彼らを屠るために渡された。 34:3 刺し貫かれた人々は投げ捨てられ／死骸は悪臭を放ち／山々はその血によって溶ける。 34:4 天の全軍は衰え／天は巻物のように巻き上げられる。ぶどうの葉がしおれ／いちじくの葉がしおれるように／その全軍は力を失う。 34:5 天において、わが剣は血に浸されている。見よ、剣はエドムの上に下る／絶滅に定められた民を裁くために。 34:6 まことに、主の剣は血にまみれ／脂肪を滴らす。小羊と雄山羊の血にまみれ／雄羊の腎臓の脂肪を滴らす。主がボツラでいけにえを屠り／エドムの地で大いなる殺戮をなさるからだ。 34:7 野牛は彼らと共に倒れ／子牛は雄羊と共に倒れ／彼らの土地は血に浸され／その土地は脂肪を滴らす。 34:8 まことに、主は報復の日を定められる／シオンにかかわる争いを正すための年を。 34:9 エドムの涸れ谷は変わってピッチとなり／その土は硫黄となる。その土地はピッチとなって燃え上がる。 34:10 夜も昼も消えることなく／とこしえに、煙を立ち昇らせ／代々にわたって廃虚となり／永遠にそこを通る人はない。 34:11 ふくろうと山あらしがその土地を奪い／みみずくと烏がそこに住む。主はその上に混乱を測り縄として張り／空虚を錘として下げられる。 34:12 その土地の貴族たちには／もはや、王国と名付くべきものはなく／高官たちもすべて無に帰する。 34:13 その城郭は茨が覆い／その砦にはいらくさとあざみが生え／山犬が住み／駝鳥の宿るところとなる。 34:14 荒野の獣はジャッカルに出会い／山羊の魔神はその友を呼び／夜の魔女は、そこに休息を求め／休む所を見つける。 34:15 ふくろうは、そこに巣を作って卵を産み／卵をかえして、雛を翼の陰に集める。そこに鳶も、雌も雄も共に集まる。 34:16 主の書に尋ね求め、読んでみよ。これらのものに、ひとつも欠けるものはない。雌も雄も、それぞれ対を見いださぬことはない。それは、主の口が命じ／主の霊が集めたものだからである。 34:17 主は彼らの分をくじによって定め／御手の測り縄によって土地を分け／とこしえに彼らの所有とされる。代々にわたって、彼らはそこに住む。
34:1 Come near, you nations, to hear;And heed, you people!Let the earth hear, and all that is in it,The world and all things that come forth from it. 34:2 For the indignation of the Lord is against all nations,And His fury against all their armies;He has utterly destroyed them,He has given them over to the slaughter. 34:3 Also their slain shall be thrown out;Their stench shall rise from their corpses,And the mountains shall be melted with their blood. 34:4 All the host of heaven shall be dissolved,And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll;All their host shall fall downAs the leaf falls from the vine,And as fruit falling from a fig tree. 34:5 "For My sword shall be bathed in heaven;Indeed it shall come down on Edom,And on the people of My curse, for judgment. 34:6 The sword of the Lord is filled with blood,It is made overflowing with fatness,With the blood of lambs and goats,With the fat of the kidneys of rams.For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah,And a great slaughter in the land of Edom. 34:7 The wild oxen shall come down with them,And the young bulls with the mighty bulls;Their land shall be soaked with blood,And their dust saturated with fatness." 34:8 For it is the day of the Lord's vengeance,The year of recompense for the cause of Zion. 34:9 Its streams shall be turned into pitch,And its dust into brimstone;Its land shall become burning pitch. 34:10 It shall not be quenched night or day;Its smoke shall ascend forever.From generation to generation it shall lie waste;No one shall pass through it forever and ever. 34:11 But the pelican and the porcupine shall possess it,Also the owl and the raven shall dwell in it.And He shall stretch out over itThe line of confusion and the stones of emptiness. 34:12 They shall call its nobles to the kingdom,But none shall be there, and all its princes shall be nothing. 34:13 And thorns shall come up in its palaces,Nettles and brambles in its fortresses;It shall be a habitation of jackals,A courtyard for ostriches. 34:14 The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the jackals,And the wild goat shall bleat to its companion;Also the night creature shall rest there,And find for herself a place of rest. 34:15 There the arrow snake shall make her nest and lay eggsAnd hatch, and gather them under her shadow;There also shall the hawks be gathered,Every one with her mate. 34:16 "Search from the book of the Lord, and read:Not one of these shall fail;Not one shall lack her mate.For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them. 34:17 He has cast the lot for them,And His hand has divided it among them with a measuring line.They shall possess it forever;From generation to generation they shall dwell in it."
1:11 兄弟たち、あなたがたにはっきり言います。わたしが告げ知らせた福音は、人によるものではありません。 1:12 わたしはこの福音を人から受けたのでも教えられたのでもなく、イエス・キリストの啓示によって知らされたのです。 1:13 あなたがたは、わたしがかつてユダヤ教徒としてどのようにふるまっていたかを聞いています。わたしは、徹底的に神の教会を迫害し、滅ぼそうとしていました。 1:14 また、先祖からの伝承を守るのに人一倍熱心で、同胞の間では同じ年ごろの多くの者よりもユダヤ教に徹しようとしていました。 1:15 しかし、わたしを母の胎内にあるときから選び分け、恵みによって召し出してくださった神が、御心のままに、 1:16 御子をわたしに示して、その福音を異邦人に告げ知らせるようにされたとき、わたしは、すぐ血肉に相談するようなことはせず、 1:17 また、エルサレムに上って、わたしより先に使徒として召された人たちのもとに行くこともせず、アラビアに退いて、そこから再びダマスコに戻ったのでした。 1:18 それから三年後、ケファと知り合いになろうとしてエルサレムに上り、十五日間彼のもとに滞在しましたが、 1:19 ほかの使徒にはだれにも会わず、ただ主の兄弟ヤコブにだけ会いました。 1:20 わたしがこのように書いていることは、神の御前で断言しますが、うそをついているのではありません。 1:21 その後、わたしはシリアおよびキリキアの地方へ行きました。 1:22 キリストに結ばれているユダヤの諸教会の人々とは、顔見知りではありませんでした。 1:23 ただ彼らは、「かつて我々を迫害した者が、あの当時滅ぼそうとしていた信仰を、今は福音として告げ知らせている」と聞いて、 1:24 わたしのことで神をほめたたえておりました。
1:11 But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. 1:12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1:13 For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it. 1:14 And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers. 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, 1:16 to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, 1:17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus. 1:18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and remained with him fifteen days. 1:19 But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord's brother. 1:20 (Now concerning the things which I write to you, indeed, before God, I do not lie.) 1:21 Afterward I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. 1:22 And I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea which were in Christ. 1:23 But they were hearing only, "He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy." 1:24 And they glorified God in me.
