31:1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,And rely on horses,Who trust in chariots because they are many,And in horsemen because they are very strong,But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel,Nor seek the Lord! 31:2 Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster,And will not call back His words,But will arise against the house of evildoers,And against the help of those who work iniquity. 31:3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God;And their horses are flesh, and not spirit.When the Lord stretches out His hand,Both he who helps will fall,And he who is helped will fall down;They all will perish together. 31:4 For thus the Lord has spoken to me:"As a lion roars,And a young lion over his prey(When a multitude of shepherds is summoned against him,He will not be afraid of their voiceNor be disturbed by their noise),So the Lord of hosts will come downTo fight for Mount Zion and for its hill. 31:5 Like birds flying about,So will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem.Defending, He will also deliver it;Passing over, He will preserve it." 31:6 Return to Him against whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted. 31:7 For in that day every man shall throw away his idols of silver and his idols of gold-sin, which your own hands have made for yourselves. 31:8 "Then Assyria shall fall by a sword not of man,And a sword not of mankind shall devour him.But he shall flee from the sword,And his young men shall become forced labor. 31:9 He shall cross over to his stronghold for fear,And his princes shall be afraid of the banner,"Says the Lord,Whose fire is in ZionAnd whose furnace is in Jerusalem.
12:19 あなたがたは、わたしたちがあなたがたに対し自己弁護をしているのだと、これまでずっと思ってきたのです。わたしたちは神の御前で、キリストに結ばれて語っています。愛する人たち、すべてはあなたがたを造り上げるためなのです。 12:20 わたしは心配しています。そちらに行ってみると、あなたがたがわたしの期待していたような人たちではなく、わたしの方もあなたがたの期待どおりの者ではない、ということにならないだろうか。争い、ねたみ、怒り、党派心、そしり、陰口、高慢、騒動などがあるのではないだろうか。 12:21 再びそちらに行くとき、わたしの神があなたがたの前でわたしに面目を失わせるようなことはなさらないだろうか。以前に罪を犯した多くの人々が、自分たちの行った不潔な行い、みだらな行い、ふしだらな行いを悔い改めずにいるのを、わたしは嘆き悲しむことになるのではないだろうか。
13:1 わたしがあなたがたのところに行くのは、これで三度目です。すべてのことは、二人ないし三人の証人の口によって確定されるべきです。 13:2 以前罪を犯した人と、他のすべての人々に、そちらでの二度目の滞在中に前もって言っておいたように、離れている今もあらかじめ言っておきます。今度そちらに行ったら、容赦しません。 13:3 なぜなら、あなたがたはキリストがわたしによって語っておられる証拠を求めているからです。キリストはあなたがたに対しては弱い方でなく、あなたがたの間で強い方です。 13:4 キリストは、弱さのゆえに十字架につけられましたが、神の力によって生きておられるのです。わたしたちもキリストに結ばれた者として弱い者ですが、しかし、あなたがたに対しては、神の力によってキリストと共に生きています。
12:19 Again, do you think that we excuse ourselves to you? We speak before God in Christ. But we do all things, beloved, for your edification. 12:20 For I fear lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I wish, and that I shall be found by you such as you do not wish; lest there be contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, backbitings, whisperings, conceits, tumults; 12:21 lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and I shall mourn for many who have sinned before and have not repented of the uncleanness, fornication, and lewdness which they have practiced.
13:1 This will be the third time I am coming to you. "By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established." 13:2 I have told you before, and foretell as if I were present the second time, and now being absent I write to those who have sinned before, and to all the rest, that if I come again I will not spare- 13:3 since you seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you. 13:4 For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.
