29:1 ああ、アリエルよ、アリエルよ／ダビデが陣を張った都よ。年毎に、祭りの数を増し、巡り来らせよ。 29:2 そのとき、わたしはアリエルを苦しめる。アリエルには嘆きと、ため息が臨み／祭壇の炉（アリエル）のようになる。 29:3 わたしはお前を囲んで陣を張り／砦を築き、城壁を建てる。 29:4 お前は倒されて地の下から語り／お前の言葉は塵の下から鈍く響く。亡霊のようなお前の声は地の下から聞こえ／お前の言葉は塵の下からかすかに響く。 29:5 群がる外敵は砂塵のようになり／群がる暴虐の者らは／吹き去られるもみ殻のようになる。そのことは突然、瞬く間に起こる。 29:6 万軍の主によってお前は顧みられる。雷鳴、地震、大音響と共に／つむじ風、嵐、焼き尽くす炎のうちに。 29:7 アリエルを群がって攻撃する国はすべて／夢か夜の幻のようになる。彼女を攻撃し、取り囲み／苦しめる者はすべて。 29:8 「飢えた者が夢を見た。見よ、彼は食べていた。だが目覚めてみると、彼は空腹のままであった。渇いた者が夢を見た。見よ、彼は飲んでいた。だが、目覚めてみると、疲れ果てて渇いたままだ。」シオンの山に群がって戦いを挑んだ国は／すべてこのようになる。
29:9 ためらえ、立ちすくめ。目をふさげ、そして見えなくなれ。酔っているが、ぶどう酒のゆえではない。よろめいているが、濃い酒のゆえではない。 29:10 主はお前たちに深い眠りの霊を注ぎ／お前たちの目である預言者の目を閉ざし／頭である先見者を覆われた。 29:11 それゆえすべての幻は、お前たちにとって封じられた書物の中の言葉のようだ。字の読める人に渡して、「どうぞ、読んでください」と頼んでも、その人は「封じられているから読めない」と答える。 29:12 字の読めない人に渡して、「どうぞ、読んでください」と頼んでも、「わたしは字が読めない」と答える。 29:13 主は言われた。「この民は、口でわたしに近づき／唇でわたしを敬うが／心はわたしから遠く離れている。彼らがわたしを畏れ敬うとしても／それは人間の戒めを覚え込んだからだ。 29:14 それゆえ、見よ、わたしは再び／驚くべき業を重ねて、この民を驚かす。賢者の知恵は滅び／聡明な者の分別は隠される。」 29:15 災いだ、主を避けてその謀を深く隠す者は。彼らの業は闇の中にある。彼らは言う。「誰が我らを見るものか／誰が我らに気づくものか」と。 29:16 お前たちはなんとゆがんでいることか。陶工が粘土と同じに見なされうるのか。造られた者が、造った者に言いうるのか／「彼がわたしを造ったのではない」と。陶器が、陶工に言いうるのか／「彼には分別がない」と。
29:17 なおしばらくの時がたてば／レバノンは再び園となり／園は森林としても数えられる。 29:18 その日には、耳の聞こえない者が／書物に書かれている言葉をすら聞き取り／盲人の目は暗黒と闇を解かれ、見えるようになる。 29:19 苦しんでいた人々は再び主にあって喜び祝い／貧しい人々は／イスラエルの聖なる方のゆえに喜び躍る。 29:20 暴虐な者はうせ、不遜な者は滅び／災いを待ち構える者は皆、断たれる。 29:21 彼らは言葉をもって人を罪に定め／町の門で弁護する者を罠にかけ／正しい者を不当に押しのける。 29:22 それゆえ、アブラハムを贖われた主は／ヤコブの家に向かって、こう言われる。「もはや、ヤコブは恥を受けることはない。もはや顔が青ざめることもない。」 29:23 彼はその子らと共に／民の内にわが手の業を見てわが名を聖とする。彼らはヤコブの聖なる者を聖とし／イスラエルの神を畏るべきものとする。 29:24 心の迷った者も知ることを得／つぶやく者も正しく語ることを学ぶ。
29:1 "Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt!Add year to year;Let feasts come around. 29:2 Yet I will distress Ariel;There shall be heaviness and sorrow,And it shall be to Me as Ariel. 29:3 I will encamp against you all around,I will lay siege against you with a mound,And I will raise siegeworks against you. 29:4 You shall be brought down,You shall speak out of the ground;Your speech shall be low, out of the dust;Your voice shall be like a medium's, out of the ground;And your speech shall whisper out of the dust. 29:5 "Moreover the multitude of your foesShall be like fine dust,And the multitude of the terrible onesLike chaff that passes away;Yes, it shall be in an instant, suddenly. 29:6 You will be punished by the Lord of hostsWith thunder and earthquake and great noise,With storm and tempestAnd the flame of devouring fire. 29:7 The multitude of all the nations who fight against Ariel,Even all who fight against her and her fortress,And distress her,Shall be as a dream of a night vision. 29:8 It shall even be as when a hungry man dreams,And look-he eats;But he awakes, and his soul is still empty;Or as when a thirsty man dreams,And look-he drinks;But he awakes, and indeed he is faint,And his soul still craves:So the multitude of all the nations shall be,Who fight against Mount Zion." 29:9 Pause and wonder!Blind yourselves and be blind!They are drunk, but not with wine;They stagger, but not with intoxicating drink. 29:10 For the Lord has poured out on youThe spirit of deep sleep,And has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets;And He has covered your heads, namely, the seers. 29:11 The whole vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is literate, saying, "Read this, please." And he says, "I cannot, for it is sealed." 29:12 Then the book is delivered to one who is illiterate, saying, "Read this, please." And he says, "I am not literate." 29:13 Therefore the Lord said:"Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouthsAnd honor Me with their lips,But have removed their hearts far from Me,And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men, 29:14 Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous workAmong this people,A marvelous work and a wonder;For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish,And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden." 29:15 Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the Lord,And their works are in the dark;They say, "Who sees us?" and, "Who knows us?" 29:16 Surely you have things turned around!Shall the potter be esteemed as the clay;For shall the thing made say of him who made it,"He did not make me"?Or shall the thing formed say of him who formed it,"He has no understanding"? 29:17 Is it not yet a very little whileTill Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field,And the fruitful field be esteemed as a forest? 29:18 In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book,And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness. 29:19 The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord,And the poor among men shall rejoiceIn the Holy One of Israel. 29:20 For the terrible one is brought to nothing,The scornful one is consumed,And all who watch for iniquity are cut off- 29:21 Who make a man an offender by a word,And lay a snare for him who reproves in the gate,And turn aside the just by empty words. 29:22 Therefore thus says the Lord, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob:"Jacob shall not now be ashamed,Nor shall his face now grow pale; 29:23 But when he sees his children,The work of My hands, in his midst,They will hallow My name,And hallow the Holy One of Jacob,And fear the God of Israel. 29:24 These also who erred in spirit will come to understanding,And those who complained will learn doctrine."
12:1 わたしは誇らずにいられません。誇っても無益ですが、主が見せてくださった事と啓示してくださった事について語りましょう。 12:2 わたしは、キリストに結ばれていた一人の人を知っていますが、その人は十四年前、第三の天にまで引き上げられたのです。体のままか、体を離れてかは知りません。神がご存じです。 12:3 わたしはそのような人を知っています。体のままか、体を離れてかは知りません。神がご存じです。 12:4 彼は楽園にまで引き上げられ、人が口にするのを許されない、言い表しえない言葉を耳にしたのです。 12:5 このような人のことをわたしは誇りましょう。しかし、自分自身については、弱さ以外には誇るつもりはありません。 12:6 仮にわたしが誇る気になったとしても、真実を語るのだから、愚か者にはならないでしょう。だが、誇るまい。わたしのことを見たり、わたしから話を聞いたりする以上に、わたしを過大評価する人がいるかもしれないし、 12:7 また、あの啓示された事があまりにもすばらしいからです。それで、そのために思い上がることのないようにと、わたしの身に一つのとげが与えられました。それは、思い上がらないように、わたしを痛めつけるために、サタンから送られた使いです。 12:8 この使いについて、離れ去らせてくださるように、わたしは三度主に願いました。 12:9 すると主は、「わたしの恵みはあなたに十分である。力は弱さの中でこそ十分に発揮されるのだ」と言われました。だから、キリストの力がわたしの内に宿るように、むしろ大いに喜んで自分の弱さを誇りましょう。 12:10 それゆえ、わたしは弱さ、侮辱、窮乏、迫害、そして行き詰まりの状態にあっても、キリストのために満足しています。なぜなら、わたしは弱いときにこそ強いからです。
[ 12 ] 12:1 It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord: 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago-whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows-such a one was caught up to the third heaven. 12:3 And I know such a man-whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows- 12:4 how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. 12:5 Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I will not boast, except in my infirmities. 12:6 For though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think of me above what he sees me to be or hears from me. 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 12:8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 12:9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
