21:1 主の御手にあって王の心は水路のよう。主は御旨のままにその方向を定められる。 21:2 人間の道は自分の目に正しく見える。主は心の中を測られる。 21:3 神に従い正義を行うことは／いけにえをささげるよりも主に喜ばれる。 21:4 高慢なまなざし、傲慢な心は／神に逆らう者の灯、罪。 21:5 勤勉な人はよく計画して利益を得／あわてて事を行う者は欠損をまねく。 21:6 うそをつく舌によって財宝を積む者は／吹き払われる息、死を求める者。 21:7 神に逆らう者は自分の暴力に引きずられて行く。正義を行うことを拒んだからだ。 21:8 歩む道が曲がったりそれたりしていても／清く正しい行いをする人がある。 21:9 いさかい好きな妻と一緒に家にいるよりは／屋根の片隅に座っている方がよい。 21:10 神に逆らう者の欲望は悪に注がれ／その目は隣人をも憐れまない。 21:11 不遜な者を罰すれば、浅はかな者は知恵を得る。知恵ある人を目覚めさせるなら／彼は知識を得る。 21:12 神に従う人は逆らう者の家を識別し／神に逆らう者を災いに落とす。 21:13 弱い人の叫びに耳を閉ざす者は／自分が呼び求める時が来ても答えは得られない。 21:14 ひそかに贈り物をしておけば怒りはなだめられ／賄賂をふところに入れてやれば激怒も静まる。 21:15 裁きを行うことは、神に従う人には喜び／悪を行う者には滅び。 21:16 目覚めへの道から迷い出た者は死霊の集いに入る。 21:17 快楽を愛する者は欠乏に陥り／酒と香油を愛する者は富むことがない。 21:18 神に逆らう者は神に従う人の代償とされ／欺く者は正しい人の身代金にされる。 21:19 いさかい好きで怒りっぽい妻といるよりは／荒れ野に座っている方がよい。 21:20 知恵ある人の住まいには望ましい宝と香油がある。愚か者はそれを呑み尽くす。 21:21 恵みと慈しみを追い求める人は／命と恵みと名誉を得る。 21:22 知恵ある人はひとりで勇士たちの町に上り／その頼みとする砦を落とすこともできる。 21:23 自分の口と舌を守る人は／苦難から自分の魂を守る。 21:24 増長し、高慢な者、その名は不遜。高慢のかぎりを尽くす。 21:25 怠け者は自分の欲望に殺される。彼の手が働くことを拒むからだ。 21:26 欲望は絶えることなく欲し続ける。神に従う人は与え、惜しむことはない。 21:27 神に逆らう者のいけにえは忌むべきものだ。悪だくみがあってささげるのだから。 21:28 欺いて語る証人は滅びる。聞き従う人の言葉はとこしえに堪える。 21:29 神に逆らう者は厚かましく事を行う。正しい人は自分の道を整える。 21:30 どのような知恵も、どのような英知も、勧めも／主の御前には無に等しい。 21:31 戦いの日のために馬が備えられるが／救いは主による。
21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord,Like the rivers of water;He turns it wherever He wishes. 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,But the Lord weighs the hearts. 21:3 To do righteousness and justiceIs more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. 21:4 A haughty look, a proud heart,And the plowing of the wicked are sin. 21:5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty,But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty. 21:6 Getting treasures by a lying tongueIs the fleeting fantasy of those who seek death. 21:7 The violence of the wicked will destroy them,Because they refuse to do justice. 21:8 The way of a guilty man is perverse;But as for the pure, his work is right. 21:9 Better to dwell in a corner of a housetop,Than in a house shared with a contentious woman. 21:10 The soul of the wicked desires evil;His neighbor finds no favor in his eyes. 21:11 When the scoffer is punished, the simple is made wise;But when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge. 21:12 The righteous God wisely considers the house of the wicked,Overthrowing the wicked for their wickedness. 21:13 Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poorWill also cry himself and not be heard. 21:14 A gift in secret pacifies anger,And a bribe behind the back, strong wrath. 21:15 It is a joy for the just to do justice,But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity. 21:16 A man who wanders from the way of understandingWill rest in the assembly of the dead. 21:17 He who loves pleasure will be a poor man;He who loves wine and oil will not be rich. 21:18 The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous,And the unfaithful for the upright. 21:19 Better to dwell in the wilderness,Than with a contentious and angry woman. 21:20 There is desirable treasure,And oil in the dwelling of the wise,But a foolish man squanders it. 21:21 He who follows righteousness and mercyFinds life, righteousness and honor. 21:22 A wise man scales the city of the mighty,And brings down the trusted stronghold. 21:23 Whoever guards his mouth and tongueKeeps his soul from troubles. 21:24 A proud and haughty man-"Scoffer" is his name;He acts with arrogant pride. 21:25 The desire of the lazy man kills him,For his hands refuse to labor. 21:26 He covets greedily all day long,But the righteous gives and does not spare. 21:27 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination;How much more when he brings it with wicked intent! 21:28 A false witness shall perish,But the man who hears him will speak endlessly. 21:29 A wicked man hardens his face,But as for the upright, he establishes his way. 21:30 There is no wisdom or understandingOr counsel against the Lord. 21:31 The horse is prepared for the day of battle,But deliverance is of the Lord.
15:14 兄弟たち、あなたがた自身は善意に満ち、あらゆる知識で満たされ、互いに戒め合うことができると、このわたしは確信しています。 15:15 記憶を新たにしてもらおうと、この手紙ではところどころかなり思い切って書きました。それは、わたしが神から恵みをいただいて、 15:16 異邦人のためにキリスト・イエスに仕える者となり、神の福音のために祭司の役を務めているからです。そしてそれは、異邦人が、聖霊によって聖なるものとされた、神に喜ばれる供え物となるためにほかなりません。 15:17 そこでわたしは、神のために働くことをキリスト・イエスによって誇りに思っています。 15:18 キリストがわたしを通して働かれたこと以外は、あえて何も申しません。キリストは異邦人を神に従わせるために、わたしの言葉と行いを通して、 15:19 また、しるしや奇跡の力、神の霊の力によって働かれました。こうしてわたしは、エルサレムからイリリコン州まで巡って、キリストの福音をあまねく宣べ伝えました。 15:20 このようにキリストの名がまだ知られていない所で福音を告げ知らせようと、わたしは熱心に努めてきました。それは、他人の築いた土台の上に建てたりしないためです。 15:21 「彼のことを告げられていなかった人々が見、／聞かなかった人々が悟るであろう」と書いてあるとおりです。
15:14 Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brethren, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. 15:15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as reminding you, because of the grace given to me by God, 15:16 that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. 15:17 Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God. 15:18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient- 15:19 in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. 15:20 And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man's foundation, 15:21 but as it is written:"To whom He was not announced, they shall see;And those who have not heard shall understand."
