8:1 知恵が呼びかけ／英知が声をあげているではないか。 8:2 高い所に登り、道のほとり、四つ角に立ち 8:3 城門の傍ら、町の入り口／城門の通路で呼ばわっている。 8:4 「人よ／あなたたちに向かってわたしは呼びかける。人の子らに向かってわたしは声をあげる。 8:5 浅はかな者は熟慮することを覚え／愚か者は反省することを覚えよ。 8:6 聞け、わたしは指導者として語る。わたしは唇を開き、公平について述べ 8:7 わたしの口はまことを唱える。わたしの唇は背信を忌むべきこととし 8:8 わたしの口の言葉はすべて正しく／よこしまなことも曲がったことも含んでいない。 8:9 理解力のある人には／それがすべて正しいと分かる。知識に到達した人には／それがすべてまっすぐであると分かる。 8:10 銀よりもむしろ、わたしの諭しを受け入れ／精選された金よりも、知識を受け入れよ。 8:11 知恵は真珠にまさり／どのような財宝も比べることはできない。 8:12 わたしは知恵。熟慮と共に住まい／知識と慎重さを備えている。 8:13 主を畏れることは、悪を憎むこと。傲慢、驕り、悪の道／暴言をはく口を、わたしは憎む。 8:14 わたしは勧告し、成功させる。わたしは見分ける力であり、威力をもつ。 8:15 わたしによって王は君臨し／支配者は正しい掟を定める。 8:16 君侯、自由人、正しい裁きを行う人は皆／わたしによって治める。 8:17 わたしを愛する人をわたしも愛し／わたしを捜し求める人はわたしを見いだす。 8:18 わたしのもとには富と名誉があり／すぐれた財産と慈善もある。 8:19 わたしの与える実りは／どのような金、純金にもまさり／わたしのもたらす収穫は／精選された銀にまさる。 8:20 慈善の道をわたしは歩き／正義の道をわたしは進む。 8:21 わたしを愛する人は嗣業を得る。わたしは彼らの倉を満たす。 8:22 主は、その道の初めにわたしを造られた。いにしえの御業になお、先立って。 8:23 永遠の昔、わたしは祝別されていた。太初、大地に先立って。 8:24 わたしは生み出されていた／深淵も水のみなぎる源も、まだ存在しないとき。 8:25 山々の基も据えられてはおらず、丘もなかったが／わたしは生み出されていた。 8:26 大地も野も、地上の最初の塵も／まだ造られていなかった。 8:27 わたしはそこにいた／主が天をその位置に備え／深淵の面に輪を描いて境界とされたとき 8:28 主が上から雲に力をもたせ／深淵の源に勢いを与えられたとき 8:29 この原始の海に境界を定め／水が岸を越えないようにし／大地の基を定められたとき。 8:30 御もとにあって、わたしは巧みな者となり／日々、主を楽しませる者となって／絶えず主の御前で楽を奏し 8:31 主の造られたこの地上の人々と共に楽を奏し／人の子らと共に楽しむ。 8:32 さて、子らよ、わたしに聞き従え。わたしの道を守る者は、いかに幸いなことか。 8:33 諭しに聞き従って知恵を得よ。なおざりにしてはならない。 8:34 わたしに聞き従う者、日々、わたしの扉をうかがい／戸口の柱を見守る者は、いかに幸いなことか。 8:35 わたしを見いだす者は命を見いだし／主に喜び迎えていただくことができる。 8:36 わたしを見失う者は魂をそこなう。わたしを憎む者は死を愛する者。」
8:1 Does not wisdom cry out,And understanding lift up her voice? 8:2 She takes her stand on the top of the high hill,Beside the way, where the paths meet. 8:3 She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city,At the entrance of the doors: 8:4 "To you, O men, I call,And my voice is to the sons of men. 8:5 O you simple ones, understand prudence,And you fools, be of an understanding heart. 8:6 Listen, for I will speak of excellent things,And from the opening of my lips will come right things; 8:7 For my mouth will speak truth;Wickedness is an abomination to my lips. 8:8 All the words of my mouth are with righteousness;Nothing crooked or perverse is in them. 8:9 They are all plain to him who understands,And right to those who find knowledge. 8:10 Receive my instruction, and not silver,And knowledge rather than choice gold; 8:11 For wisdom is better than rubies,And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her. 8:12 "I, wisdom, dwell with prudence,And find out knowledge and discretion. 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;Pride and arrogance and the evil wayAnd the perverse mouth I hate. 8:14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom;I am understanding, I have strength. 8:15 By me kings reign,And rulers decree justice. 8:16 By me princes rule, and nobles,All the judges of the earth. 8:17 I love those who love me,And those who seek me diligently will find me. 8:18 Riches and honor are with me,Enduring riches and righteousness. 8:19 My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold,And my revenue than choice silver. 8:20 I traverse the way of righteousness,In the midst of the paths of justice, 8:21 That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth,That I may fill their treasuries. 8:22 "The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His way,Before His works of old. 8:23 I have been established from everlasting,From the beginning, before there was ever an earth. 8:24 When there were no depths I was brought forth,When there were no fountains abounding with water. 8:25 Before the mountains were settled,Before the hills, I was brought forth; 8:26 While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields,Or the primeval dust of the world. 8:27 When He prepared the heavens, I was there,When He drew a circle on the face of the deep, 8:28 When He established the clouds above,When He strengthened the fountains of the deep, 8:29 When He assigned to the sea its limit,So that the waters would not transgress His command,When He marked out the foundations of the earth, 8:30 Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman;And I was daily His delight,Rejoicing always before Him, 8:31 Rejoicing in His inhabited world,And my delight was with the sons of men. 8:32 "Now therefore, listen to me, my children,For blessed are those who keep my ways. 8:33 Hear instruction and be wise,And do not disdain it. 8:34 Blessed is the man who listens to me,Watching daily at my gates,Waiting at the posts of my doors. 8:35 For whoever finds me finds life,And obtains favor from the Lord; 8:36 But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul;All those who hate me love death."
9:1 わたしはキリストに結ばれた者として真実を語り、偽りは言わない。わたしの良心も聖霊によって証ししていることですが、 9:2 わたしには深い悲しみがあり、わたしの心には絶え間ない痛みがあります。 9:3 わたし自身、兄弟たち、つまり肉による同胞のためならば、キリストから離され、神から見捨てられた者となってもよいとさえ思っています。 9:4 彼らはイスラエルの民です。神の子としての身分、栄光、契約、律法、礼拝、約束は彼らのものです。 9:5 先祖たちも彼らのものであり、肉によればキリストも彼らから出られたのです。キリストは、万物の上におられる、永遠にほめたたえられる神、アーメン。 9:6 ところで、神の言葉は決して効力を失ったわけではありません。イスラエルから出た者が皆、イスラエル人ということにはならず、 9:7 また、アブラハムの子孫だからといって、皆がその子供ということにはならない。かえって、「イサクから生まれる者が、あなたの子孫と呼ばれる。」 9:8 すなわち、肉による子供が神の子供なのではなく、約束に従って生まれる子供が、子孫と見なされるのです。 9:9 約束の言葉は、「来年の今ごろに、わたしは来る。そして、サラには男の子が生まれる」というものでした。 9:10 それだけではなく、リベカが、一人の人、つまりわたしたちの父イサクによって身ごもった場合にも、同じことが言えます。 9:11 -12その子供たちがまだ生まれもせず、善いことも悪いこともしていないのに、「兄は弟に仕えるであろう」とリベカに告げられました。それは、自由な選びによる神の計画が人の行いにはよらず、お召しになる方によって進められるためでした。 9:13 「わたしはヤコブを愛し、／エサウを憎んだ」と書いてあるとおりです。 9:14 では、どういうことになるのか。神に不義があるのか。決してそうではない。 9:15 神はモーセに、／「わたしは自分が憐れもうと思う者を憐れみ、／慈しもうと思う者を慈しむ」と言っておられます。 9:16 従って、これは、人の意志や努力ではなく、神の憐れみによるものです。 9:17 聖書にはファラオについて、「わたしがあなたを立てたのは、あなたによってわたしの力を現し、わたしの名を全世界に告げ知らせるためである」と書いてあります。 9:18 このように、神は御自分が憐れみたいと思う者を憐れみ、かたくなにしたいと思う者をかたくなにされるのです。
9:1 I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, 9:2 that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. 9:3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh, 9:4 who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; 9:5 of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen. 9:6 But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, 9:7 nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, "In Isaac your seed shall be called." 9:8 That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed. 9:9 For this is the word of promise: "At this time I will come and Sarah shall have a son." 9:10 And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one man, even by our father Isaac 9:11 (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls), 9:12 it was said to her, "The older shall serve the younger." 9:13 As it is written, "Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated." 9:14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! 9:15 For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion." 9:16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. 9:17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth." 9:18 Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.
