2:1 わが子よ／わたしの言葉を受け入れ、戒めを大切にして 2:2 知恵に耳を傾け、英知に心を向けるなら 2:3 分別に呼びかけ、英知に向かって声をあげるなら 2:4 銀を求めるようにそれを尋ね／宝物を求めるようにそれを捜すなら 2:5 あなたは主を畏れることを悟り／神を知ることに到達するであろう。 2:6 知恵を授けるのは主。主の口は知識と英知を与える。 2:7 主は正しい人のために力を／完全な道を歩く人のために盾を備えて 2:8 裁きの道を守り／主の慈しみに生きる人の道を見守ってくださる。 2:9 また、あなたは悟るであろう／正義と裁きと公平はすべて幸いに導く、と。 2:10 知恵があなたの心を訪れ、知識が魂の喜びとなり 2:11 慎重さがあなたを保ち、英知が守ってくれるので 2:12 あなたは悪い道から救い出され／暴言をはく者を免れることができる。 2:13 彼らはまっすぐな道を捨て去り、闇の道を歩き 2:14 悪を働くことを楽しみとし／悪と暴言に小躍りする者。 2:15 彼らの道筋は曲がり、通う道はくねっている。 2:16 また、よその女、滑らかに話す異邦の女をも／あなたは免れることができる。 2:17 若き日の伴侶を捨て／自分の神との契約を忘れた女を。 2:18 彼女の家は死へ落ち込んで行き／その道は死霊の国へ向かっている。 2:19 彼女のもとに行く者はだれも戻って来ない。命の道に帰りつくことはできない。 2:20 こうして／あなたは善人の道を行き／神に従う人の道を守ることができよう。 2:21 正しい人は地に住まいを得／無垢な人はそこに永らえる。 2:22 神に逆らう者は地から断たれ／欺く者はそこから引き抜かれる。
2:1 My son, if you receive my words,And treasure my commands within you, 2:2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom,And apply your heart to understanding; 2:3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment,And lift up your voice for understanding, 2:4 If you seek her as silver,And search for her as for hidden treasures; 2:5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,And find the knowledge of God. 2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom;From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; 2:7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; 2:8 He guards the paths of justice,And preserves the way of His saints. 2:9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice,Equity and every good path. 2:10 When wisdom enters your heart,And knowledge is pleasant to your soul, 2:11 Discretion will preserve you;Understanding will keep you, 2:12 To deliver you from the way of evil,From the man who speaks perverse things, 2:13 From those who leave the paths of uprightnessTo walk in the ways of darkness; 2:14 Who rejoice in doing evil,And delight in the perversity of the wicked; 2:15 Whose ways are crooked,And who are devious in their paths; 2:16 To deliver you from the immoral woman,From the seductress who flatters with her words, 2:17 Who forsakes the companion of her youth,And forgets the covenant of her God. 2:18 For her house leads down to death,And her paths to the dead; 2:19 None who go to her return,Nor do they regain the paths of life- 2:20 So you may walk in the way of goodness,And keep to the paths of righteousness. 2:21 For the upright will dwell in the land,And the blameless will remain in it; 2:22 But the wicked will be cut off from the earth,And the unfaithful will be uprooted from it.
6:15 では、どうなのか。わたしたちは、律法の下ではなく恵みの下にいるのだから、罪を犯してよいということでしょうか。決してそうではない。 6:16 知らないのですか。あなたがたは、だれかに奴隷として従えば、その従っている人の奴隷となる。つまり、あなたがたは罪に仕える奴隷となって死に至るか、神に従順に仕える奴隷となって義に至るか、どちらかなのです。 6:17 しかし、神に感謝します。あなたがたは、かつては罪の奴隷でしたが、今は伝えられた教えの規範を受け入れ、それに心から従うようになり、 6:18 罪から解放され、義に仕えるようになりました。 6:19 あなたがたの肉の弱さを考慮して、分かりやすく説明しているのです。かつて自分の五体を汚れと不法の奴隷として、不法の中に生きていたように、今これを義の奴隷として献げて、聖なる生活を送りなさい。 6:20 あなたがたは、罪の奴隷であったときは、義に対しては自由の身でした。 6:21 では、そのころ、どんな実りがありましたか。あなたがたが今では恥ずかしいと思うものです。それらの行き着くところは、死にほかならない。 6:22 あなたがたは、今は罪から解放されて神の奴隷となり、聖なる生活の実を結んでいます。行き着くところは、永遠の命です。 6:23 罪が支払う報酬は死です。しかし、神の賜物は、わたしたちの主キリスト・イエスによる永遠の命なのです。
6:15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! 6:16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 6:17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. 6:18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 6:19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness. 6:20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 6:21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 6:22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
