6:1 そこで、ダレイオス王により命令が出され、バビロンにある記録保管所が調べられ、 6:2 メディア州の都エクバタナで一つの巻物が見つかった。それには、このように記されていた。「覚書。 6:3 キュロス王の第一年、キュロス王、勅令を発布。エルサレムの神殿、いけにえをささげる場所として、以前の基礎を保ったまま、神殿は再建されなければならない。建物の高さは六十アンマ、間口は六十アンマとする。 6:4 切り石の列を三段置き、木材の列を一段置く。費用は国庫負担とする。 6:5 更に、ネブカドネツァルがエルサレムの神殿から取り出して、バビロンに持って来た神殿の金銀の祭具類は返還され、エルサレムの神殿にある元の場所に戻されなければならない。それをその神殿に納めるようにせよ。」 6:6 「それゆえ、ユーフラテス西方の長官タテナイとシェタル・ボゼナイ、およびその仲間であるユーフラテス西方の巡察官たちは干渉をやめ、 6:7 その神殿の工事をさせることにせよ。ユダの長官と長老たちは、かつて神殿があった場所にその神殿を再建しなければならない。 6:8 この神殿を建てるために、あなたたちがそのユダの長老たちを援助することを、わたしは命ずる。その経費はユーフラテス西方からの税収による国費によって賄われ、滞りなく正確にそれを彼らに与えよ。 6:9 天にいます神に、焼き尽くす献げ物としてささげるために必要な雄牛、雄羊、小羊、それに小麦、塩、ぶどう酒、油をエルサレムの祭司たちの要求に従って、毎日欠かさず与えなければならない。 6:10 こうして彼らが天にいます神に供え物をささげ、王と王子らの幸福な人生を願って祈ってくれるようにせよ。 6:11 この定めに違反するものはだれであれ、自分の家から抜き取られた角材にはりつけにし、その家も廃虚とすることを、わたしは命ずる。 6:12 この命令をあえて犯し、エルサレムにあるこの神殿を破壊しようとする王や国があれば、そこを御自分の名の住まいとされた神が、一人残らず滅ぼされるように。わたしダレイオスが、この命令を下す。命令どおり実行せよ。」
6:13 そこで、ユーフラテス西方の長官タテナイとシェタル・ボゼナイ、およびその仲間たちは、ダレイオス王が書き送ったことに従い、命令どおり実行した。 6:14 ユダの長老たちは、預言者ハガイとイドの子ゼカリヤの預言に促されて順調に建築を進めていたが、イスラエルの神の命令と、ペルシアの王キュロス、ダレイオス、アルタクセルクセスの命令によって建築を完了した。 6:15 この神殿は、ダレイオス王の治世第六年のアダルの月の二十三日に完成した。 6:16 イスラエルの人々、祭司、レビ人、残りの捕囚の子らは、喜び祝いつつその神殿の奉献を行った。 6:17 この神殿の奉献のために雄牛百頭、雄羊二百匹、小羊四百匹をささげ、また全イスラエルのために贖罪の献げ物としてイスラエルの部族の数に従って雄山羊十二匹をささげた。 6:18 そしてモーセの書に書き記されているとおり、エルサレムにおける神への奉仕のために、祭司たちをその担当の務めによって、レビ人をその組分けによって任務に就かせた。 6:19 捕囚の子らは、第一の月の十四日に過越祭を行った。 6:20 祭司とレビ人は共に身を清めていたので皆清く、捕囚の子ら皆のため、仲間の祭司のため、また彼ら自身のために、過越のいけにえを屠った。 6:21 捕囚の地から帰って来たイスラエルの人々も、イスラエルの神なる主を尋ね求めて、その地の諸民族の汚れを離れて来た人々も皆、過越のいけにえにあずかった。 6:22 そして七日間にわたって、喜び祝いつつ除酵祭を行った。主がアッシリアの王の心を彼らに向け、イスラエルの神の神殿を再建する工事を支援させて、彼らに喜びを与えられたからである。
[ 6 ] 6:1 Then King Darius issued a decree, and a search was made in the archives, where the treasures were stored in Babylon. 6:2 And at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of Media, a scroll was found, and in it a record was written thus: 6:3 In the first year of King Cyrus, King Cyrus issued a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem: "Let the house be rebuilt, the place where they offered sacrifices; and let the foundations of it be firmly laid, its height sixty cubits and its width sixty cubits, 6:4 with three rows of heavy stones and one row of new timber. Let the expenses be paid from the king's treasury. 6:5 Also let the gold and silver articles of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took from the temple which is in Jerusalem and brought to Babylon, be restored and taken back to the temple which is in Jerusalem, each to its place; and deposit them in the house of God"- 6:6 Now therefore, Tattenai, governor of the region beyond the River, and Shethar-Boznai, and your companions the Persians who are beyond the River, keep yourselves far from there. 6:7 Let the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God on its site. 6:8 Moreover I issue a decree as to what you shall do for the elders of these Jews, for the building of this house of God: Let the cost be paid at the king's expense from taxes on the region beyond the River; this is to be given immediately to these men, so that they are not hindered. 6:9 And whatever they need-young bulls, rams, and lambs for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the request of the priests who are in Jerusalem-let it be given them day by day without fail, 6:10 that they may offer sacrifices of sweet aroma to the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king and his sons. 6:11 Also I issue a decree that whoever alters this edict, let a timber be pulled from his house and erected, and let him be hanged on it; and let his house be made a refuse heap because of this. 6:12 And may the God who causes His name to dwell there destroy any king or people who put their hand to alter it, or to destroy this house of God which is in Jerusalem. I Darius issue a decree; let it be done diligently. 6:13 Then Tattenai, governor of the region beyond the River, Shethar-Boznai, and their companions diligently did according to what King Darius had sent. 6:14 So the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the command of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia. 6:15 Now the temple was finished on the third day of the month of Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius. 6:16 Then the children of Israel, the priests and the Levites and the rest of the descendants of the captivity, celebrated the dedication of this house of God with joy. 6:17 And they offered sacrifices at the dedication of this house of God, one hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs, and as a sin offering for all Israel twelve male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel. 6:18 They assigned the priests to their divisions and the Levites to their divisions, over the service of God in Jerusalem, as it is written in the Book of Moses. 6:19 And the descendants of the captivity kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month. 6:20 For the priests and the Levites had purified themselves; all of them were ritually clean. And they slaughtered the Passover lambs for all the descendants of the captivity, for their brethren the priests, and for themselves. 6:21 Then the children of Israel who had returned from the captivity ate together with all who had separated themselves from the filth of the nations of the land in order to seek the Lord God of Israel. 6:22 And they kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with joy; for the Lord made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria toward them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.
3:1 ペトロとヨハネが、午後三時の祈りの時に神殿に上って行った。 3:2 すると、生まれながら足の不自由な男が運ばれて来た。神殿の境内に入る人に施しを乞うため、毎日「美しい門」という神殿の門のそばに置いてもらっていたのである。 3:3 彼はペトロとヨハネが境内に入ろうとするのを見て、施しを乞うた。 3:4 ペトロはヨハネと一緒に彼をじっと見て、「わたしたちを見なさい」と言った。 3:5 その男が、何かもらえると思って二人を見つめていると、 3:6 ペトロは言った。「わたしには金や銀はないが、持っているものをあげよう。ナザレの人イエス・キリストの名によって立ち上がり、歩きなさい。」 3:7 そして、右手を取って彼を立ち上がらせた。すると、たちまち、その男は足やくるぶしがしっかりして、 3:8 躍り上がって立ち、歩きだした。そして、歩き回ったり躍ったりして神を賛美し、二人と一緒に境内に入って行った。 3:9 民衆は皆、彼が歩き回り、神を賛美しているのを見た。 3:10 彼らは、それが神殿の「美しい門」のそばに座って施しを乞うていた者だと気づき、その身に起こったことに我を忘れるほど驚いた。
3:11 さて、その男がペトロとヨハネに付きまとっていると、民衆は皆非常に驚いて、「ソロモンの回廊」と呼ばれる所にいる彼らの方へ、一斉に集まって来た。
3:12 これを見たペトロは、民衆に言った。「イスラエルの人たち、なぜこのことに驚くのですか。また、わたしたちがまるで自分の力や信心によって、この人を歩かせたかのように、なぜ、わたしたちを見つめるのですか。
3:13 アブラハムの神、イサクの神、ヤコブの神、わたしたちの先祖の神は、その僕イエスに栄光をお与えになりました。ところが、あなたがたはこのイエスを引き渡し、ピラトが釈放しようと決めていたのに、その面前でこの方を拒みました。
3:14 聖なる正しい方を拒んで、人殺しの男を赦すように要求したのです。
3:15 あなたがたは、命への導き手である方を殺してしまいましたが、神はこの方を死者の中から復活させてくださいました。わたしたちは、このことの証人です。
3:16 あなたがたの見て知っているこの人を、イエスの名が強くしました。それは、その名を信じる信仰によるものです。イエスによる信仰が、あなたがた一同の前でこの人を完全にいやしたのです。

3:1 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
3:2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;
3:3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms.
3:4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, "Look at us."
3:5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
3:6 Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."
3:7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
3:8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them-walking, leaping, and praising God.
3:9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God.
3:10 Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
3:11 Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's, greatly amazed.
3:12 So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: "Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?
3:13 "The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go.
3:14 "But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,
3:15 "and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.
3:16 "And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
